Music Video Feature

We decided to create a video music feature for the beginning of our music video. This would display the name of the artist and the song to benefit the viewer. This is a convention that a real media music video would use. From watching MTV and Viva music channels, we discovered this feature and its common appearance.

Here is our music video feature:

The first stage of creating this feature was to create a black rectangular background on Photoshop. Then the music video features could be added singularly.

Creating the Poster

Here are some of the staged which created the poster advertisement.

Once the cloudy background had been created for the poster advertisement Rach decided to add a lens flare effect to the background which she was able to place and edit the brightness.

Once the text was added to the background, Rach decided to add a drop shadow effect to the text to emphasise it and make it look more defined.

This screenshot below shows how Rach made the image of the hands black and white. She opened the black and white option and changed the colours to edit the image. The black and white effect on the image suited the background much better and being able to preview the image before keeping the changes meant the colour change could be monitored.

Risk Assessment

What potential hazzards could be encountered?

1. Weather - Some of are filming would be filmed outside, and if for example the weather is raining/snowing etc maybe we would have to re-arrange the date in which we film.
2. Filming in Millie's/Jake's house, damage to the house during fights between the couple. Objects may be in the way when we are filming and we may not want them there.
3. Getting to the location can be a problem for some of us in the group.
4. Conflict within the group. For example if we were to disagree on something.

How would we resolve this problem?

1. Check the weather report make sure its a suitable time to film outside if need be.
2. Make sure we move the objects that are in the way and make sure that there is no damage to the house.
3. Plan well ahead and try and sort out transport, so filming can take place.
4. Make sure everyones views are heard, and discuss professionally which idea is the best for the group.
